A name or location entered in a search box is transmitted directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies any response. Our systems do not retain or record those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, the message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical details when a page loads, including:
- Page-view dates, times, and approximate visit length
- The referring website, when one is supplied

- Pages viewed during the visit

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Sherman County Criminal History does not compile, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Sherman County sheriff and jail, the local courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search boxes. Their own privacy notices govern data entered into their tools, including how long they keep it and when they disclose it. We do not direct those practices. Read the provider’s policy before submitting a query.

Links may lead to the Sherman County website, court portals, Texas agency pages, legal resources, or commercial search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy rules apply. Review them before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies use their own systems to follow activity across websites for targeted advertising. We do not operate that tracking.
